Back up to The Ten

I'm pleased to have received news that the famous "Topsham Ten" is alive and well; the Lord Nelson, temporarily closed recently, is re-opening this week (Thursday 21st). The area manager for the company taking it on tells me, "Everyone is welcome, even just for a drink!"

Topsham Town Fayre 2008

Town Fayre Week is from 16th-23rd August, culminating in Carnival Day on Saturday 23rd (see our Town Fayre Page or the full programme available from Topsham News and Tops in Topsham).

The weather has been a bit of washout for some events - Saturday's band at the Quay on the 16th had to move into Drakes, and only a few hardy individuals turned up to play croquet in the rain on Monday - but looking at the BBC weather forecast, we're cautiously optimistic for Carnival Day.
