Good news for a number of Topsham businesses: in the Taste of the West 2009 awards, Darts Farm won a Gold Award in the retail outlet class, the Georgian Tea-Room a gold in the tea room class, and Oliva a silver in the restaurant class.

Meanwhile, Denley's Essence of India was awarded a Silver Four Star Plaque for its placing in the top 100 of around 12,000 nominations for the British Curry Awards 2009.

The Avocet Cafe on Fore Street, and Route 2 (Cafe Bar and Cycle Hire) at the Topsham Quay, have newly-launched websites.
